Washing machines: E10 error code by brand
On most washing machines that use it, E10 is a water-fill problem: the machine expected water and did not get enough, fast enough.
| Brand | Code | Meaning (from the maker) | Region |
|---|---|---|---|
| Electrolux, AEG & Zanussi | E10 | Water supply problem: the machine is not filling, filling too slowly, or (with E11/C1) not draining correctly. | UK & Europe |
Safety. Unplug the machine before you pull it out or touch the back, and turn off the water tap before removing hoses. Keep a towel and a shallow tray ready: hoses and filters always hold some water.
Why the same code means different things
Error codes are not standardised. Each manufacturer writes its own list, and even one brand can change it between model generations. That is why every page here names the brand, links the maker's own support page and shows the date we checked it. If your brand is missing, we have not yet found an official meaning: check the manual (often in a pocket on the back or inside the door, or on the maker's website by model number).
